I did this waaayyy back in September but I'm still excited to share it with you guys! It was my first project in my design class, and the first finished piece I ever made with Adobe Illustrator! The assignment was to create an insect or arachnid using only letters and type characters, with several other requirements about variety of typefaces, no overlapping of letterforms, etc. I learned a lot about the program and feel much more confident with it. A really fun and challenging project!
Wooooww!!! That looks amazing!! I could never do something like that. Awesome work, Anna!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It actually wasn't super hard once I figured out more about the program so you could totally do something like this! :)
DeleteANNAAAA you can just do no wrong sometimes! This is seriously cool! I hope we can see more awesome stuff like this!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks! I have been doing some practice logos for the class so I may post some of those later too!
DeleteWow Anna! That's really neat! I hadn't noticed it was ALL letters (just wondered why you put in some random ones) until you pointed that out. Makes it extra interesting! Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was kind of challenging to find just the right letters to get the effect I wanted-the "y" for the stinger on the tail was really hard to decide in but I was so happy when I finally found one that worked. :)
DeleteWow this is great!!! So neat with the letters and your color choices are perfection.
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to make! Thank you, I'm glad you like it :)
DeleteHey there Anna, I just tagged you for the Bedtime Book Tag if you want to do it. I wasn't sure if you would post anything but art on this blog but I thought I would at least give you the option.

Hi Lydia! :) I do put tags on here (I usually count it as art by drawing some illustrations to go along with it though :D). This looks very fun! I'm excited to do it. Thank you!
